Sony grabs the ACC media rights

Sony Culver Max has secured the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) media rights for 2024-31. They won the rights with a bid of US$170 million in an e-auction where they were the sole participant. Jio-Disney, initially expected to compete, did not participate, leaving Sony with a significant win in the sports broadcasting landscape.

I think soon cricket rights will become cheaper for bcci also only viacom18 bid and Asia cup also only Sony bid and now cricket organisations will realise that companies will not be aggresive so they would want more companies to bid so they will keep base price low
